When looking for May Temecula events, and other events throughout the year, the Best-Temecula-Guide.com keeps you posted on all the best events going on around the town. To remind you about all the exciting happenings around the town, check out 'Tales of Temecula' our free helpful newsletter.

May Temecula Events The May Temecula events for 2008 come with promises of Mother's Day celebrations, the festive jubilation of Cinco de Mayo, and a journey back into the days of gunslingers and High Noon bank robberies.

I strongly suggest you pull out your calendar and prepare for what the local wineries, Old Town Temecula, and other locations about town have in store for you throughout the month of May.

Old Town Events

Youthful expressions of art and the Wild Wild West take over Old Town for May Temecula events that entice Southern California residents to come out of hiding and explore a variety of entertaining performing arts and fun-filled activities. Noteworthy events include:

• 5/2 – 5/11: Steel Magnolias (8pm – 10pm): With an uncanny way of delivering humor and heartfelt moments – the Old Town Temecula Community Theater stage showcases the beauty of close friendships, heartache, and happiness. Tickets cost between $14 and $17. Contact: 866-653-8696.

• 5/8: 9th Annual Youth Art Exhibition Opening Night Reception (5pm): Head for the Promenade Mall (40820 Winchester Rd) to enjoy a thought-provoking display of art focused on "Earth Day" – this year's theme. This exhibition runs from May 8th to May 27th – Monday to Friday (10am – 9pm); Saturday and Sunday (11am – 7pm). Contact: 951-695-2787.

May Temecula Events • 5/17 – 5/18: Western Days (11am – 5pm):

The Wild West
comes alive right in the middle of Old Town with gunfights, western music,
pony rides for the kids, and delicious chili simmering in pots for a cook-off you don’t want to miss.
Contact: 951-694-6412

• 5/18: Come Fly A Kite Day (2pm – 4pm): Allow the pleasant weather to sweep you away at the Paloma Del Sol Park (32099 De Portola Rd), where colorful kites take the warm winds with plenty to look forward to, including music, kite contests, free prize drawings, and other treats. Contact: 951-694-6412.

• 5/19: Young People's Concert (7:30pm – 9:30pm): Imagine – Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Join the Inland Valley Symphony for an event that will certainly capture the imagination with Franz von Suppe (Light Cavalry Overture) and a little something for fans of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. • 5/24: The Harlem Quartet (7:30pm – 9:30pm):

May Temecula Events Head for the Old Town Temecula Community Theater to experience the melodic magic of four remarkable solo artists who come together to perform Ellington's Take the "A" Train to Mozart to Marsalis. I think this is a great way to get children to embrace the diversity of the performing arts. Tickets range from $2.50 (child with adult) to $30. Contact: 866-653-8696.

• 5/25: Wild Women of Broadway (2pm – 4pm): The OnStage Cabaret Orchestra aims to please with a collection of Broadway favorites sung by the likes of Mara Getz and Kirsten Chandler. This is yet another Old Town Temecula Community Theater extravaganza to consider.
