Temecula Rod Run Each year, a collection of auto-related sponsors, vendors, and car enthusiasts participate in the Temecula Rod Run with hundreds upon hundreds of eye-catching specimens lined up for viewing.

Participants come from all over the western part of the United States – looking to tap into the same family-like energy that captures an appeal much similar to Old Town Temecula.

Overall, the event is a real treat, as car owners and their families are also on hand to answer any questions for the inquisitive and curious.

In the neighborhood, Temecula restaurants, such as the French favorite Vallée d' Brume and the spiciness of the Arriba Grill prepare for the gust of visitors that blow into town. Merchants, such as Lorena's Painted Garden and other gems get ready for the droves of visitors who come to explore and take home memories of Old Town Temecula charm with great bargains and enticing shopping offers.

Temecula Rod Run The Temecula Rod Run is a pretty big deal, as more than 60,000 spectators usually enjoy the satisfying schedule of events that that generally include concerts with special opening acts, guest appearances (such as alumni from the television show, "Survivor"), silent auctions, raffles and awards, and poker competitions offering cash prizes.

However, the best part of this event is always the vehicles on display – some with customized engines peeking from underneath the hood and others with an assortment of interesting accessories.

For instance, in 2004 – a matching surfboard accompanied an attractive pearly purple hot rod. Cruising of registered vehicles often parade about Old Town Front Street throughout the evening of the festival – showcasing fascinating paint jobs and shiny trimmings.

While in attendance, make sure you have left behind your pets, bikes, scooters, skateboards, and alcoholic beverages at home. I can tell you that there's plenty of time to explore the local Temecula wineries when you've found a bit of time to sneak away from the festivities.

Temecula Rod Run Like many of the events in Temecula, the Rod Run gives back to local charities like the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County. This means that you not only enjoy the sights and sounds of car cruising and colorful displays in Temecula, but will also support community efforts.
