All the small gems of information and unique encounters awaiting your arrival are found right here, as I've spent years uncovering the beauty and wonder that makes Temecula one of the best places to live and play in Southern California.

Now, if you are wanting to host your own wine tasting party from home - here are some tips and tricks for you to ponder in the video below.

You will find that it is rather easy to navigate the Wine Country with inviting wine trails that lead to each of the Temecula wineries. To make your journey into the thick of enjoyment easier, a decent winery map becomes your best friend. Click here to get your map.

Your adventures begin at the corner of Rancho California Road and Butterfield Stage Road, where an interesting stone entry monument marks the entrance to the trails.

As you embark on a fresh passage through captivating wine explorations, small stone monuments scattered along the trail let you know that you're traveling the right road. These common fixtures mark the route along the winery trail.

Let’s start by painting the picture of the entrance to the wine country of Temecula, as a fruit stand with the most succulent strawberries in Temecula are located just to the left of the wine country entrance.

While it's just a small structure off to the side of the road – the taste and satisfaction is immense. You have your choice of buying strawberries at the stand, picking your own, and at certain times of the year – taking advantage of the pumpkins in the area.

Oranges bursting with sweetness and other addictive berries are offered in the spring and summer months, also extending into the autumn months.

Not only do I love the fresh produce, but also the owner and servers bring a smile to my face with their attentiveness and infectious pleasantness.

One day – we enjoyed picking strawberries, then relaxed under a tree to sip wine on a grassy patch overlooking the beauty of the Temecula wineries and I was suddenly filled with this overwhelming sense of familiarity.

Is this our very own European hideaway right here in Temecula? Allen and I have traveled to some of the most appealing places in Europe – weaving in and out of the allure of Provence, France to exploring intriguing Italian vineyards… The breathtaking landscape of Temecula wine country bears a surprising resemblance to the delightful attractions spread across Europe.

In Southern California, Temecula has gained quite the reputation as one of the better spots to vacation. The blue skies are clear and mesmerizing, while the laid-back European atmosphere produces the perfect surroundings for relaxation, fun, and excitement.

Did I mention the romantic strolls through sun-kissed vineyards, where rolling hills create a calm backdrop dotted with stunning mountains and views that cause welcomed distractions? Overall, the scenery of a Temecula winery helps elevate your overall wine-tasting adventures and romantic picnics.

Not one Temecula winery is the same, as they each possess their own unique flair. I enjoyed exploring the precious tales attached to each winery. If you strike up a conversation with some of the people running the wineries – you're bound to learn something new and interesting.

For example, in the early 1800s, Franciscan missionaries planted the first grapevines in the region. Cattle roamed the land from 1904 to 1964 and it wasn’t until 1968 that the first winery greeted the public – the Bella Vista winery. The first wines of Temecula made a guest appearance in 1971.

To learn more about each Temecula winery – I urge you to check out the Wineries page.

As far as the weather, Temecula experiences a bit of heat in the summer months with a couple of weeks in August usually being the hottest. Temecula is actually one of the coolest cities in Riverside County because of the fact that Temecula valley enjoys cool coastal breezes – courtesy of the 'Rainbow Gap' creating a climate similar to the Mediterranean. These breezes keep the foothills refreshing in the summertime offering comfortable touring of the wine country.

Most of the time – the weather about the beautiful Temecula winery area is rather pleasant. No need to worry about the stickiness of the summertime, as Temecula enjoys a dry heat, which I find much more pleasant. Actually, it's quite similar to the weather I encountered as a youth in Perth, Western Australia.

The rest of the year offers a little rain during the winter months and a comfortable environment during the autumn and spring then takes over. No doubt about it – Temecula is one of the best places to enjoy a satisfying stretch of weather... well, I suppose you could say I am justified in saying that. I have had a lot of experience traveling around the world throughout the majority of my life, so I should know a good place when I see one!

Traveling each Temecula winery in style brings so much fun and enjoyment and as we found out when we took a luxury limousine tour. I think that one of the best wine tours and transportation options to consider is a luxury limo excursion. Simply click here to receive more details on traveling throughout the Wine County on a luxury limousine tour.

There's nothing better than sitting back without a care in the world while letting a chauffeur deliver you to the next intoxicating diamond in the rough…
