Other Area Wineries

Although this is the smallest estate winery in Temecula, it is also the newest vineyard to discover – a product of the hard work of founders and operators, Alex and Lise Yakut. Along with the world-class red and white wines, why not consider the solera-style cream sherry? Tasting weekends and holidays are by appointment.

Established in 1986, Phil and Carol Baily have cultivated their grapes and winery to the level of winning prestigious competitions in California, such as the San Francisco Wine Competition and the Los Angeles County Fair. Impressive features of the winery to look forward to include the Baily Winery Tasting Room, gift shop, banquet room, wine club, and Carol's Restaurant (951-676-9243).

Imre and Gizella Cziraki purchased the former Cilurzo Winery - the location of Temecula’s 'first' commercial vineyard where the very first vines were planted in 1968. Visitors begin to gather at this Temecula winery at 10am and continue to explore the Tasting Room, picnic pavilion with lake views, and Gift Shop until it closes at 5pm. To enjoy a sampling of five wines, a $6 tasting charge is expected. However, you get to take home a nice souvenir glass for the price. The in-house specialty of this Temecula winery includes an assortment of award-winning reds, such as the Estate Zinfandel and Orange Muscat. Other selections to consider include a fruity Cabernet Sauvignon and a Special Reserve Aleatico Port. You never know what to expect at Briar Rose, as the first Freestyle Motorcycle Biker Build-off associated with the Discovery Channel
was held on the premises in 2006.

How does a picnic by the arbor sound? Throughout the year, satisfying wine events at Callaway create some of the best memories for you to make your own. Visitors are welcome to visit for wine tasting explorations and tours of the cellar. Other possibilities include using the winery for private events, such as romantic weddings.

As you look past the inviting French-style chateau – a host of delicious Temecula winery selections await your taste buds, including Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Daily tasting starts at 10:30am – ending at 5pm in the summertime and 4:30 during the winter months. Extra perks include tasty deli items, exclusive gifts, and complimentary glass with tasting fee.

Selections of wine embrace the allure of the Sangiovese and Montepulciano with the planting of Malbec decorating the grounds. An avid participant in local fundraising events (such as the Turkey Trot around Thanksgiving time and Zoofari), the winery raises funds for various foundations and charities. I highly suggest stopping by the tasting room to enjoy an assortment of reds, whites, and pinks. On Thursdays – don’t forget to wear a Hawaiian shirt to receive $1 off the purchase of a bottle of wine that isn't on sale.

To accompany a pleasant sampling of award-winning wines, Falkner also offers access to a unique gift shop and beautiful views (perfect for picnics and other events). Daily tasting takes place between 10am and 5pm. Don’t forget to experience the free jazz on Sundays. Other features include an outside tasting bar and wine tasting classes.

Each year, seven different varietal wines and champagnes entertain guests at the Filsinger Vineyards & Winery, which offers a superb Cabernet Sauvignon and Gewurztraminer. A small tasting charge is expected when you wish to discover both the indoor and outdoor pleasures of this pleasing Temecula winery.

If you possess a craving for red wine only – head to the Temecula winery that provides a delicious selection for you to sample. Situated on the east side of Temecula Wine Country, not only do captivating bunches of grapes thrive, but also an organic citrus farm – all within minutes of downtown Temecula. Also – don't forget to sample the 2002 Merlot with black cherry and plum accents or bring home the 2005 Syrah (perfect for a chicken feast).

This Temecula winery is filled with character and flair, as a stately scene of rolling hills, olive trees, and lightly colored sprigs of grass greet you. Enjoy a tasty glass of Petite Syrah or Late Harvest Zinfandel in the tasting room – or choose this impressive setting for a wedding, country BBQ, or small equestrian event. Other features include their "Wine, Dine, and Entertain Series," which presents the likes of Elvis and Tony award-winning dramas.

Exploring this private fine wine establishment places you amidst breathtaking hillside scenery that delivers remarkable views of mountains, horse farms, and vineyards. Spread across 20 acres of land, guests often enjoy a visit to the Tuscan-style villa estate – clutching glasses filled with the likes of Aquilo (full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon) or Villa Vino Rosso (light to medium-bodied plum wine). Additional features include corporate events and walks down the aisle at the Wedding Pavilion.

With a history dating back to 1973, the Hart family has transformed an initial purchase of 12 acres of land into a wonderland of tasting adventures, an entreating Wine Club, and delicious sampling of Syrah, Viognier, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot.
